The COMIT class 5 switch feature administration function for the Nortel DMS/SL100/OSSGate® is integrated with the service order/service request processes to perform software-based MAC activities. Using a web browser GUI, the user merely populates the requested features on the selected keys of electronic sets and COMIT immediately performs feature-to-feature and feature-to-set edits prior to issuing commands to the switch. MADN and CPU conflicts are immediately identified by key and are tracked for each station. COMIT is the only telemanagement software solution that programmatically generates Nortel SERVORD® commands and directly interfaces to the administrative module of the Nortel DMS/SL100®.
PCR's COMIT-SWI synchronization process continually polls the switch during off hours to keep the COMIT database perfectly accurate in sync with the switch.
To further support COMIT users with the transition to VoIP, PCR is a registered third party adaptor of Succession Element and Subnetwork Manager (SESM), which is designed with open interfaces using SERVORD+ to Provision CICM subscribers via the OSSGate Client. PCR has successfully installed the COMIT interface to OSSGate using SERVORD to provision lines on the DMS or CS2100. Using an XML interface, COMIT provides the interface software to the CICM element manager for making feature/parameter changes to Centrex IP subscribers.
